About Kupas Yom Tov

Kupas Yom Tov was founded in 2014 after the sudden passing of R’ Shlomo Zalman Rosengarten, z”l, a Yungerman learning in Bais Medrash Gevoha, and Eli Raitzik, a”h, a young boy from the community. This double heartbreak awakened true feelings of unity and caring throughout Lakewood, and as a zechus for these two special Neshamos, fellow Talmidim of the Yeshiva established Kupas Yom Tov.

Many Kollel families manage to live off minimal income throughout the year, but the extra expenses of Yom Tov become an overwhelming financial burden. With contributions from Yungerleit and members of the Lakewood community, Kupas Yom Tov has taken the initiative to provide financial assistance to bnei torah for their Yom Tov needs with dignity and discretion. With the endorsement of leading Rabbanim and Roshei Yeshivos, the organization creates an opportunity for all members of Klal Yisroel to show appreciation to the Bnei Torah who support us spiritually by helping to support them financially.
